Our Consumer Directed Services program provides individuals the opportunity to handpick their personal care attendant tailored to their specific requirements. This program offers a less stressful and more adaptable alternative to transitioning to a specialized facility.
The Family Wellness Consumer Directed Services program enables family members or friends to be compensated for tending to their loved ones within the familiar surroundings of their home.
Consumer Directed Services empowers your loved one to retain their independence while receiving assistance with essential daily tasks such as bathing, toileting, medication administration, meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, and transportation.

Who is Eligible?
• The consumer must be receiving or eligible for Medicaid.
• The consumer must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Have a physical disability.
• Be able and willing to recruit, select and manage their attendants
• Be seeking or living in an independent living situation.
• Be able to self-direct their services.
• The attendant must be 18 years of age or older.
• A friend or family member may be hired as an attendant. Exceptions include spouses, and anyone under the age of 18.
• The attendant must clear a background check through the Missouri State Family Care Safety Registry.
